Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of hands-on experience in database administration, particularly with MySQL databases. The role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database systems to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and security.

Reposnsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL database software and related products.
• Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Monitor database performance and recommend optimizations for improved efficiency.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures, including access control and data encryption.
• Perform database tuning and capacity planning to support growing data needs.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate database systems with applications and infrastructure components.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of proven experience as a MySQL Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, design principles, and optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, monitoring tools, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and database programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
• Experience with database security practices, such as user authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions for databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications MySQL Database Administrator is mandatory.
